The Ultimate Baby Three Fairytale Showdown

Hey there, fellow Wishmakers! If you are plugged into the designer plush community right now, you already know that The Baby Three is absolutely taking over the blind box scene. Between their signature custom faceplates, adjustable eyes, and oversized clothing, these plush figures are the ultimate statement pieces for your daily bag carry.

Today, we are doing a deep-dive, head-to-head comparison of two major fairy-tale-themed drops: The Baby Three: Fairytale World (Series 1) and The Baby Three: Fairytale Town (Series 2).

We unboxed a box from each series to give you a hands-on look at the design changes, packaging aesthetics, character lineups, and the secret pull ratios you need to know before buying. Let’s jump right in!

Packaging Aesthetics: Sepia Storybook vs. Circus Hype

The very first thing you notice when holding these two series side-by-side is the drastic shift in packaging design and box sizing. Series 1 leans into a much smaller, compact “mini situation” format, whereas Series 2 features a significantly larger box profile.

• Fairytale World (Series 1): The box art abandons loud, modern colors for a dreamy, muted sepia tone covered in star details and apple motifs. On the front cover, a Baby Three dressed as the Big Bad Wolf looks like he’s trying to sneak up and scare you. It feels incredibly vintage and cozy.
• Fairytale Town (Series 2): The vibe here is completely different. The artwork trades the quiet forest aesthetic for a vibrant, high-energy circus tent environment. The cover features the “Invisible King” character—a cheeky take on The Emperor’s New Clothes (and yes, he is hilariously depicted without any pants!).

Series 1 Breakdown: The Baby Three “Fairytale World”

The original Fairytale World series features 8 standard options and 2 hidden secrets. The core theme wraps beloved creatures in classic folklore attire, featuring highly detailed head coverings, bibs, and tiny shoes.

The Lineup & Textures

• Little Wolfie: A white bunny base with blue patchwork on one ear, wearing a dark, foreboding wolf mask, blue shoes, and a red bow with a gemstone centerpiece.
• The Pig: Features an adorable drop of snot coming out of his nose, a blue bib with two fluffy white hanging pom-poms, yellow shoes, and a curly-cue tail.
• Little Frog Prince: Styled with heavy patchwork details, a button eye on the frog hood, a classic golden crown, and a ruffled neck collar that gives off a whimsical clown aesthetic.
• Kitty Bell & “The Alice Typo”: Interestingly, the box features a text typo where two different characters share the name “Kitty Bell.” The first is a brown, big-eared cat styled in orange and brown tones with a rose on its bib. The second is clearly an Alice in Wonderland homage—a white bunny with an off-center black bow, mismatched red/black harlequin diamond shoes, and a blue lace-trimmed bib.
• Red Riding Hood: A floppy-eared bunny where the deep maroon bonnet completely covers the ears, accented by black side bows, heart details, a blue plaid bib, and harlequin-patterned shoes.
• Little Puppet: A clear nod to Pinocchio, featuring an orange bunny with floppy ears, a straw hat with a feather, red overalls, and that signature long, pointed corn-style nose.

Hands-On Pull: Princess Rui Rui

We pulled Princess Rui Rui, and she is an absolute darling. She is a soft yellow bunny with floppy ears, dressed in a baby-blue dress with an oversized, ruffled lace bonnet.

Our Field Notes:

• The Movement: She features the iconic 360-degree adjustable eyes that rotate completely around. Pro-tip: If you are wearing collector gloves, they can be a bit tricky to grip, but they glide effortlessly with bare hands.
• The Fit: The clothing is completely removable via a velcro strap on the back. Interestingly, the clothes are styled to look intentionally oversized for the figure—the sleeves are so big that the plush hands barely peek out!
• The Hardware: Instead of a standard metal chain, this figure comes with a durable, premium paracord lanyard woven through a cloth keychain holder.
• Faceplate Details: Her cheek makeup is incredibly unique; one cheek features an infinity-shaped bow while the other displays blue speckles and X marks, all tied together with a cheeky, stuck-out tongue that perfectly matches the collector card.

Series 2 Breakdown: The Baby Three “Fairytale Town” (Version 2)

Moving into Version 2, the scale gets bigger, the details get sharper, and the options expand to 9 standard figures and 2 secrets (which appear to be a hidden goat and a bunny/puppy variant).

If you are an Alice in Wonderland fan, Version 2 is absolutely the drop for you, as four out of the nine standard figures belong to the Alice universe: Queen Scarlet, Raven and Desk (Mad Hatter vibes), Mr. Ash (the white rabbit with a pocket watch), and Alice Dreamer. The rest of the cast includes Invisible King, Aladdin, Pinocchio Pop, Captain Drip, and Prince Nova (inspired by The Little Prince).

Hands-On Pull: Captain Drip

Our second pull brought us Captain Drip, a brilliant, high-seas pirate theme. Unlike Princess Rui Rui, the Captain’s clothes are tightly tailored to the plush body—while you can slide the pants down, the outfit is largely non-removable, and his detailed captain’s hat is securely embroidered straight onto the head plush.

Our Field Notes:

• The Movement: Captain Drip features the 180-degree squinty eyes that slide dynamically from side to side, giving him a deeply mischievous look to go with his side-glance stuck-out tongue.
• Poseability: Both the hands and feet on this model fully rotate, giving you much more freedom for styling and photography.
• Premium Materials: Pop Mart upgraded the texturing here significantly. The belt is crafted from actual faux leather and features genuine metal buckle details, giving it a high-end streetwear feel.
• The Faceplate Mystery: When comparing the figure to the art card, the eyes on the physical faceplate look incredibly deep, starry, and expressive. Version 2 seems to introduce highly stylized, heterochromia and starry eye designs that differ wildly from previous standard releases.

The Wishweeds Verdict: Which Fairytale Wins?

Both of these series deserve a spot on your backpack, but they cater to very different collector styles:

• Go with Series 1 (Fairytale World) if you prefer the classic, cozy, pastel-plush aesthetic with completely removable, oversized clothing and traditional storybook characters.
