We were lucky enough to crack open the box and pull the Black Cat character, and she is absolutely gorgeous!

Today, we decided to give our Black Cat a brand-new look using a custom vinyl faceplate featuring grumpy, fierce-looking heterochromia eyes (one blue star eye, one pink star eye).

Want to customize your own doll? The process is surprisingly easy. Here is a step-by-step breakdown:

1. Grab a Spoon: You don’t need any special modeling tools for this—just grab any ordinary metal kitchen spoon from your drawer.
2. Separate the Face: Gently slide the edge of the spoon in between the vinyl face plate and the surrounding black plush fabric. Use the spoon to lightly lever it, and the vinyl face will pop right out of the head cavity.
3. Align the Tabs: Look inside the fabric head opening to find the positioning holes that align with the tabs on the back of the new vinyl faceplate. (This is the only slightly tricky part, but with a bit of patience, it lines up easily!)
4. Secure the Face: Once the tabs are in place, firmly push the faceplate forward into the plush frame until it sits tightly and stays completely secure.

And that’s it! Our cat has a completely fresh, attitude-packed expression. Those fierce heterochromia star eyes match her little apron aesthetic perfectly.
